In this post we are going to run through everything you should need to know when booking your first appointment at Chichester Chiropractic Health Centre.
So lets begin with who we are and what we do…
Chichester Chiropractic Health Centre is a team of Chiropractors who offering gentle and effective Chiropractic care. Between us we have many years of experience in treating neck pain, back pain, sciatica, shoulder pain, leg pain and many more musculoskeletal aches and pains. We use low force adjustments to help realign your spine, free up restrictions and help to ease your symptoms.
People visit Chiropractors everyday for symptoms including;
- Sharp Pains
- Shooting Pains
- Dull Aches
- Intense Aches
- Pins and Needles
- Muscle Tension
- Joint Stiffness
If you have any of the symptoms above then its worth booking in for an Initial Consultation, in this appointment we can discuss your symptoms, perform a physical and neurological examination to find out what is causing your symptoms and advise on how we can help. Chiropractic isn’t the right option for everyone and occasionally we may need to refer you back to your GP for further tests. However for the vast majority of our patients we help them return to a life without pain, without discomfort and with the freedom to start living their life again.
The first appointment is an hours one to one session which includes the initial consultation and the first treatment, this appointment costs £45. For a full break down of prices please click here.
To book this appointment please call the clinic on 01243 913923.
Congratulations you have booked your first appointment, so what happens next?
Assuming you have given us your email you will receive 2 confirmation emails, the first will just be confirming the appointment is booked, the second which will usually come through later that day and will include all the details you need to bring along to the appointment, details on how to find the clinic and links to some very handy Youtube videos showing you exactly where to come to and exactly where to park.
The day before your appointment you will then receive a confirmation text message (assuming we have a mobile number) and a confirmation email, these will always come through before all following appointments so you’ll never miss a session.
When you come to the clinic for your first appointment please use one of our dedicated parking spaces, come and ring the buzzer and our friendly receptionist will let you in and ask you to take a seat until the Chiropractor is ready to see you.
What happens at the first appointment?
Up on your first visit to the clinic we like to spend some time getting to know you. This will include an informal chat to find out some information on your current and past activities, a personal history and your reason for visiting the clinic. The personal history can include details on any past injuries, current medication and any related conditions, some details may not seem relevant to you, but can be very useful when making a diagnosis.
Check list for new patients:
• List of current medications and dosage
• Details of diagnosed conditions (including dates)
• Details of operations and other medical procedures (including dates)
• Private medical insurance details (if applicable)
We will then run through a physical examination to get a good overview of how your body is functioning. This physical will include assessing your joint range of motion, muscle strength, gait, skin sensations, neurological function and perform some specific orthopaedic tests. If necessary we will also run through a cardiovascular, respiratory and abdominal screening. These tests will help us get an over all view of your health and help us with diagnosis.
We will then explain the findings from our tests and explain our full care plan – if you are still happy we can proceed with treatment.
